The change of season

Power to change.

It’s that time of year again when the nights draw in and the end of summer has finally made way for the next season.

The Autumn Equinox on Sunday 23th September coincides with Monday’s Full Moon creating a valuable opportunity for cleansing the body from internal, cellular dross.

An equinox is when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. We also have the Spring Equinox which signals the beginning of Spring in March. From a body perspective, it means that cellularly we have a greater potential to dump toxins (Think of a tidal pull).

So what can you do to facilitate this powerful and healing time?

Whatever the state of your health is in, it is wise to simplify your diet.

Think broths, herbal teas and avoid grains and processed food.

If you can manage to fast this day, you will reap the benefits.

Remember digestion takes up a lot of the body’s energy so by abstaining or at least reducing your intake, you will support your body allowing it to release cellular toxins.

I would advise however if you are constipated that you resolve this issue first as if you can’t eliminate these toxins you could feel pretty bad.

Any harm you do at this time to your body will be more detrimental than usual.
