When choosing which seafood or fish to buy for your supper, you may wish to consider fish with known low mercury levels.
Low mercury include:
Oysters ,Sardines, Salmon, Shrimp, Squid, Atlantic croaker, Atlantic mackerel, Crab, Catfish, Crawfish, Flounder, Haddock, Sole, Trout.
Fish with higher mercury levels include:
Bluefish, Black cod, Chilean sea bass, Tuna, Grouper, Halibut, Mackerel, Marlin
Orange roughy, Swordfish, Shark.
If you tend to eat a lot of seafood and fish that is known to contain high mercury levels, you may wish to think about detoxing the heavy metals from your body as there are studies that show a possible link to dementia and Alzheimer’s. See previous articles on heavy metals.
